Happy New Year 2013 to you! May it be a year of great wisdom and inner growth, health, love and abundance for you!

I don’t know about you but lately I feel time is speeding up like crazy. It is customary around New Year to reflect upon what happened for us in the passing year. Didn’t we just do that?

With five planets and the New Moon in Capricorn, the sign associated with wisdom, maturity, old age and the physical realities of time and space, we are in alignment with the stars for a reality check and a moment of truth. It is also a great time to envision what directions you would like your life to take in the foreseeable future.

The Sun and Moon conjunction forming the New Moon is starting a new cycle. This gives us the possibility to truly show up in life as a mature, responsible participant, treating others as we would like to be treated. I believe a lot of suffering in the world could be alleviated if everybody would follow this idea.

With Mercury joining this conjunction you will be able to bring awareness around your personal sense of reliability and self-organization. On the low end of possibilities it could also bring out feelings of melancholy, with the supercharged Capricorn and his ruler Saturn in the intense sign of Scorpio. It is a time for the Truth.

Pluto is the God of the underworld and deep transformation, of death and rebirth and will be in Capricorn till the year 2024. His ongoing square (2012 – 2015) engaging
with Uranus, the God of earthquakes and revolution, has provided us with many fireworks in our personal lives and of course in the political and social realms.

For you and me personally, it is important to have awareness of where our deepest fears of change lie and how we try to control them–because we try to control the uncontrollable and we could use that energy to move forward into new dimensions and new experiences.

When the Full Moon is culminating in Leo, the Sun has to be in Aquarius. Aquarius represents the morphogenetic field of group consciousness and human evolution. November was a month with huge events; big celestial configurations, with a Solar and Lunar Eclipse reflected in the devastating impact of the hurricane Sandy, and the surprising re-election of president Obama. There is no end to the challenges presented to us to grow in consciousness, with the thrust to learn how to deeply care for each other. The bigger picture is that we will only thrive as individuals in our society if the driving force of creation is coming from a higher perspective of oneness, instead of being driven solely by greed for power and money.

The alignment of the Winter Solstice 2012 is said to be an extra special moment in time, highlighting the precise alignment of the earth with the Galactic Center, the center of our Milky Way galaxy. This moment in time is referred to as the end of the Mayan Calendar. It is said to be the end of a 26,000 year cycle and deemed an advance in collective consciousness. Girl, do we need that!

I want to emphasize that we have plenty of celestial markers to indicate that we are indeed living in times of big changes of consciousness …

Highlights of the Month
The highlights of the month are the conjunction of Venus with the North Node in Scorpio Uranus, turning direct just a few hours after the New Moon which is also a Super Moon; the Sun being squared by Uranus on Dec 25 and the Sun conjunction with Pluto. All this gives us plenty of compelling reasons to integrate shadow material into our collective and individual consciousness. In order to experience true self-empowerment and shine forth from higher levels of consciousness, we need to learn how to be in alignment with our highest integrity, showing kindness and love.

New Moon in Sagittarius
This New Moon is a Super Moon which means it is closest to the earth, increasing the electromagnetic and gravitational pull on earth’s tides and tectonic plates. I remember that it was a similar situation when the earthquake in Japan hit. On the same day that happened, Uranus also entered into the fiery sign of Aries.

Sagittarius always wants to teach us a higher wisdom perspective by pushing us beyond our boundaries in order to grow. It is a sign which values freedom and adventure. The New Moon always starts a new round of growing into higher levels of emotional awareness. This month you want to become more aware of how you have been underestimating yourself in your life. Be more outrageous and daring! Give life a chance to lift you up into new dimensions of understanding yourself and others. This is your contribution to the possibility of a quantum leap in collective consciousness supported by Uranus turning direct.

Cancer Full Moon
The Sun Pluto conjunction opposing the Full Moon sheds light into shadowy corners of your individual life as well as collectively. I expect the dysfunctions we have been putting up with in governments, organizations and our society will become even more visible. The Cancer Moon wants to take care and nourish, heal and guide.

In the aftermath of hurricane Sandy we are put to the test about how we handle this from a humanitarian perspective. Do we truly care or do we just go back to business as usual if we are so fortunate to live in an area which has not been impacted? I believe in the Red Cross as a wonderful place to donate in situations like this.

November Sky

We are facing an especially powerful and interesting month of November this year.The end of October left us with a feeling of helplessness in the face of catastrophes like the hurricane Sandy and the tsunami which was threatening our Hawaiian Islands. I feel very grateful that we were lucky here with not much damage done…

Now it is up to all of us as individuals how much we pull together and help each other in the face of the devastation and loss many millions are facing.

The Election

And then there is the election… The presidential election is setting the stage for high tempers and it is easy to get emotionally involved and overexcited about the state of politics and the state of the world. No matter which political hat each one of us is wearing, we all agree that the situation as it is needs transformation and change. But the disagreements start with different opinions about the method and actions to take.

At the end of September universal energies have begun to shift with the Fall Equinox; days are getting shorter and the general energy is turning more inwards. The equinox is one of the magical, pivotal points of the year. The Equinox in Libra is inviting you to choose the direction you now want to take for the remainder of the year. With Libra you can look at your life and decide what steps you want to take for improvements.

The symbol for Libra, a scale, indicates Libra’s strong need for balance. Libras are very oriented towards other people and are skillfully attuned to their needs and emotions. Their preference in relationships is for harmony and love—they are peacemakers. But – making somebody else happy is not really possible as many of us can attest, as we have surely tried. And we often want our beloved partners to make us happy. Did it ever truly work? The responsibility for happiness and joy lies squarely on our own shoulders. But, with a kind heart and compassion for yourself and OTHERS, you can be well on your way to a balanced life.

Saturn Moving into Scorpio October 5

“I am a legend”, stated Jamaican Usain BOLT, the fastest man in the history of the world, at the Olympics just a few days ago. “I came here to be a legend!” Just how much self- confidence is needed to accomplish the unimaginable?

August was a month of strong, creative Leo and fiery Mars energies, a time to engage all your resources to make your dreams come true. It was a time to step up, to focus and discipline your efforts in order to gain success and the fulfillment of your dreams. For the Olympic warriors of both genders it was the culmination of a lifetime of self discipline and preparation in order to be their personal best and the world’s best athletes.

I loved to watch the games, sitting with my husband in front of the TV for many hours in perpetual awe. There is something so infectious and inspiring watching these young men and women give their all. I feel inspired to apply myself the same way in my own life, towards my own dreams and goals! I commit myself anew to strive for my personal best. I feel newly inspired to get very clear in which area of my life I need to run like BOLT.

For me it means to exercise 5 times a week and take care for my physical well-being through an outstanding diet! I finally signed up at the Haiku Gym.

Pisces Full Moon August 31

Even if this Full Moon happened at the end of August, half of its waning will be in September. In the sign of Pisces, this Full Moon invites you to be the Mystic, the poet and the dreamer. We become more open for the non-physical dimensions to penetrate our lives. Allow yourself to be inspired and up-lifted to your highest vision of who you can be. Every legend starts with a dream which seems to be impossible in the beginning.

New Moon in Virgo

The New Moon illuminates how far you have come in your journey and dreams and gives you a new start. Mercury in its own sign Virgo conjoins the New Moon Sept 20 and forms an exact t-square with Uranus and Pluto.

Shortly after the New Moon, Pluto turns direct on Sept 17. The archetypal energy for change intensifies with Uranus joining the exact square on Sept 19 for the second time. A similar energy was presented to us in the Sixties with the anti-war and civil rights movements, the “flower power” of the young generation, the questioning of establishment, the interest in spirituality, the first landing on the Moon, China’s Cultural Revolution, the success of feminism and the beginning of the internet.

There is a lot for our minds to digest and Virgo’s critical eyes roam over the dysfunctions in order to figure out the high road to take. I expect things to heat up as never before preceding the presidential election.

This is a very “hot” Full Moon in Aries, the sign of the warrior and new beginnings. The square to Pluto and conjunction of Uranus with the Full Moon will shake us up and make our ears ring.

There is urgency in the air and thoughts of fatalism and defeat won’t hold us back any longer. We are in the middle of an amazing time! You will be looking back at this decade as the time of a new dawn for Humankind. Tremendous changes in history have always been carried forward by individuals who were listening to their dreams and visions.

Aquarius Full Moon August 1 and Leo New Moon August 17, 2012

One thing you can count on is that everything in life is impermanent. Change is the driving force of life and a result of your dreams, your beliefs, the decisions you make and the steps of action you take. With Pluto squaring Uranus, change is in the air for all of us! But it is up to you whether you feel victimized or if you are able to direct those currents.

This month there is a vortex of creative energy available for you to live from the center of your being, your heart. Mercury, the mythic messenger of the Gods is turning direct on August 7th at 2 degrees Leo. This year Mercury spends almost ten weeks in Leo rather than the usual three or four (June 25 to August 31). Last month was amazing in respect to the level of energy we all experienced and needed to move and integrate. With an already always busy mind we were running on the mental super highway often in several directions all at once. I was often tired and already crashing at 9 at night, so finished with processing one more thing.

On June 24 Uranus and Pluto had their first exact square out of seven. These are the guys who have been responsible for the evolutionary wave building up to a turning point. Especially Pluto in Capricorn has been highlighting the economical problems we need to address. Stock markets were crashing; what else is new? Gemini New Moon June 19 Close to the Summer Solstice June 20, 2012

Today you will find me rumbling my way through lots of different ideas and subjects in alignment with the Gemini spirit.

With the longest day of the year and the shortest night in the Northern hemisphere mid summer is upon us once again marked by the summer solstice.

Dancing around bonfires, celebrations of the communion between heaven and earth have been honored by many cultures especially by the pagan, Celtic or druid traditions. Even nowadays it is a special day to celebrate and many people are coming together at sacred spots around the world like Stonehenge and Avebury. Midsummer is thought of as a time of magic when the forces of the light are at their strongest.

I am also back from my travels and available for readings again. The  month of June offers possibilities for deep insights and mental expansion beyond previous limitations. This is a splendid time for an astrological reading.

I am offering a special for $ 150 for a natal chart reading, a two hour session which will be recorded for you.  If you know your chart pretty well and just want to have a forecast session with looking into the present time with transits and progressions I charge $ 75 per hour. I like to look into the time frame of a year which helps you to prepare yourself better to be in the flow with the cosmic energies. It will help you to make better adjustments with life and give you better and conscious choices.

As you can tell there is a lot going on in the heavens and accordingly in your life. There are always special times in your life when you reach a threshold of consciousness and things just don’t work the old way any more. You have to decide if you want to move forward into a new direction or sit down on your path and try to avoid life which never works very well. The only thing we know for sure is that life is impermanent and in constant flux and motion. If we stop growing we start dying, it is as simple as that. With astrology we can see those special times coming and act according to the flow of life.

One of those special times of new Beginnings are the Solar and Lunar Eclipses and of course the turning points of the seasons, the solstices and equinoxes. 

This month we are asked to integrate seemingly opposite ways of looking at the world. We are invited to learn how opposites not only attract each other but also enrich and complement our perspective. As a result, we can learn something totally new and grow in our perception and interpretation of the surrounding world.

In the application of this wisdom lives the power of individual change and inner growth.

And it is the underlying reason why any kind of counseling or therapy might be helpful; as long as it manages to change the interpretation and meaning that a painful situation holds for you. With the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius and another New Moon in Gemini (last month we had the New Moon at the very beginning of Gemini) there is a chance for a deep integration between the inner world of your emotions, through the application of analysis of what is, with the possibility of understanding the bigger picture as a result.

You might just feel really itchy and in need of some adventure and change of routine around this Full Moon. It is a good time for you to travel, camp in the crater or at least take the long road to Hana. Under the itch is the need to feel you are growing and expanding your vision of the world. You could also sign up for a seminar to grow your wisdom perspective or get some astrological counseling. I believe that your soul needs food in the same way your body does. And it is a time to become super sensitive to what you put into your mind and develop a new attunement to that.

Make sure it is something inspiring and uplifting and not just the usual low IQ television entertainment. You might want to take a challenge and stay off your usual mental diet of TV, books and newspapers for 3 days and see what will happen to your consciousness.
